In a relief to her family, a 10-year-old girl with special needs who went missing from her residence in Pokale Wasti, Bibwewadi, Pune, was traced and reunited with her family on Thursday night. The girl had been missing since 2 pm on Wednesday, prompting her family to lodge a missing person’s report at the Bibwewadi police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police, R Raja, confirmed that the girl was found safely in the Kondhwa area on Thursday night, bringing an end to the search operation that lasted over 24 hours. The police had launched an immediate search operation, scouring through footage from multiple CCTV cameras to trace the girl’s location.
As the search operation continued, the girl’s photograph and details went viral on social media, with many sharing her information to help locate her. Following leads obtained during the search operation, the police eventually located her in the Kondhwa area on Thursday night.
