Centre discharges Puja Khedkar from Indian Administrative Service with immediate effect
In a significant move, the Central Government has discharged Puja Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) with immediate effect. The decision marks her immediate removal from all duties and responsibilities associated with the IAS.
As of now, Official sources are yet to release further details, and it remains unclear whether Khedkar will challenge the decision or issue any formal statement.
Khedkar has been accused of fraudulently obtaining benefits under the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and disability quotas to secure her selection in the service. She has denied these allegations.
On September 6, 2024, the Centre issued an order discharging Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) under Rule 12 of the IAS (Probation) Rules, 1954, with immediate effect.
