The Pune police have launched a stringent drive against wrong-side driving, impounding over 700 vehicles from Wednesday to Thursday evening. This move aims to curb traffic violations and ensure road safety in the city.
According to Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, vehicles caught driving on the wrong side of the road will be impounded for six months. This decision follows the finding of 16,000 triple-seat riders and 14,000 wrong-side riders/drivers over the last 45 days, with little change in behavior.
