IMD Forecasts Rain and Thunderstorms for Pune, Mumbai, and Western Maharashtra; Orange Alert Issued for Some Districts

Monsoon Arrives Early in Maharashtra, Set to Hit Mumbai in 2-3 Days; IMD Issues Orange Alert for Several Districts
The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) has forecast moderate to heavy thunderstorms for several regions in Maharashtra, including Pune, Mumbai, Nashik, Satara, Kolhapur, and parts of the Konkan belt and Western Maharashtra. Residents can expect a rainy Sunday, with possible intense downpours accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.
On October 20th, IMD issued a district-wise alert for the next five days, warning of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and strong winds. In some districts, an orange alert has been issued, indicating severe weather conditions over the next 48 hours.
