Adar Poonawalla-led Serene Productions is set to acquire a 50 percent stake in Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and its subsidiary Dharmatic Entertainment for Rs 1,000 crore, as announced in a recent press release. Karan Johar will retain the remaining 50 percent stake and continue his role as Executive Chairman, while Apoorva Mehta will maintain his position as Chief Executive Officer.
