On 22nd November 2024, the Annabhau Sathe Auditorium witnessed the mesmerizing Kathak dance drama ‘SROTAYAN’, a celebration of Kathak’s evolution and timeless beauty. Directed by Sushrut Mulavekar and choreographed by Neeraja Sushrut, with Anuradha Thorat from Noopur Dance Academy leading the initiative, the performance honored the presence of Guru Shama Bhate.
The performers—Anupama, Maitreyi, Ritu, Mansi, Soumyea, Sanyukta, Manasi, Yanti, Rohi, Mihika, Dhriti, Khushi, Shravani, Riddhi, Mrinali, Wilyn, Tanisha, Janani, Ashima, Rupal, and Nupur—captivated the audience with their flawless artistry.
Supported by the Priyadarshini Nikalje Foundation, the event highlighted Noopur Dance Academy’s contribution to culture through its branches in NIBM, Undri, Pisoli, Magarpatta, and Salunkhe Vihar. ‘SROTAYAN’ was a timeless tribute to classical dance that left Pune spellbound.
