Water Supply to be disrupted in Pune on December 12 and 13
Pune: Several areas in Pune will experience a complete water cut on Thursday, December 12, due to essential maintenance work at key water treatment plants and pumping stations. This comprehensive repair effort will involve electrical, pumping, and structural upkeep, aiming to enhance the city’s water supply infrastructure.
Affected Areas
The maintenance will impact water supply in the following regions:
- Parvati HLR Tank Area: Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibvewadi, Mukundnagar, Maharshinagar, Gangadham, Chintamaninagar, Lake Town, and nearby localities.
- Bhama Askhed Water Center Area: Lohgaon, Vimannagar, Vadgaon Sheri, Vishrantwadi, Phulenagar, Yerawada, Dhanori, and others.
- Lashkar Jalkendra Area: Ramtekdi Industrial Area, Syednagar, Mundhwa, Koregaon Park, Satavwadi, Hadapsar, and Solapur Road regions.
- Chandni Chowk Tank Area (Warje Plant): Bhugaon Road, Bavdhan, Bhusari Colony, Shantiban, and surrounding areas.
- Gandhi Bhavan Tank Area (Warje Jurisdiction): Kumbharwadi, Kakade City, Mahatma Society, and Warje Malwadi.
- Pancard Club GSR Tank Area: Baner, Balewadi, Pancard Club Road, and adjacent localities.
- SNDT HLR Area: Gokhalenagar, Pune Vidyapith, Law College Road, Senapati Bapat Road, and nearby areas.
Low Pressure Expected on December 13
While the water supply will be entirely suspended on December 12, residents in affected areas may face low water pressure and delays during the morning hours of December 13 as the system stabilizes post-maintenance.
Chief Engineer Nandkishor Jagtap of the PMC Water Supply Department has requested citizens to store sufficient water beforehand and extend their cooperation during this maintenance period, aimed at ensuring improved service reliability in the future.
