Pune: Technical Glitches on Sarathi and Vahan Portals Disrupt RTO Services
Citizens are facing difficulties in accessing RTO services due to frequent technical glitches on the Sarathi and Vahan portals. The portals, which provide various services including learner’s licenses and vehicle registrations, have been experiencing server problems, leaving users frustrated.
The issues have been ongoing for over a month, with many users reporting difficulties in logging in, making payments, and completing applications. The problems are not limited to individual users, as driving schools and agents are also facing difficulties in accessing the portals.
The Pune RTO has issued a large number of licenses in the past nine months, including over 68,500 permanent driving licenses and 1.09 lakh learner licenses. However, the technical glitches are causing delays and inconvenience to citizens.
Officials from the RTO have acknowledged the issues and are working with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) to resolve the problems. In the meantime, citizens are advised to visit the RTO office if they are facing difficulties with the online portals.
