A Vadapav vendor in the Vadgaon Sheri area is facing legal action for allegedly disrespecting the national flag. The incident came to light when a customer discovered the vendor using paper with the image of the national flag to wrap food items.
The customer, who visited the cart at around 10 AM on Sunday, noticed the flag’s image on the wrapping paper and immediately questioned the vendor. Recognizing the gravity of the issue, the customer lodged a complaint at the Chandan nagar Police Station.
The case has sparked concern over the appropriate use and handling of national symbols. Authorities have reminded the public to remain vigilant and report any violations of the Flag Code of India to ensure the nation’s symbols are treated with the respect.
