Pune: Wagholi Traffic Woes Addressed By Residents In Joint Meeting Of Govt Authorities: Initiate Encroachment Removal
Pune : To address the growing issue of traffic congestion in the Shirur-Haveli constituency, a crucial meeting was convened today under the leadership of Pune City Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. The meeting saw the participation of senior officials from PMRDA’s construction department, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the District Collector’s office, Public Works Department (PWD), MSEDCL, and the Regional Transport Office (RTO). Shirur-Haveli MLA Mauli Katke and representatives from local resident associations also attended the session.
During the meeting, Commissioner Kumar directed officials to implement immediate measures to alleviate the traffic woes, particularly in Wagholi and nearby areas. Discussions focused on a range of strategies, including the removal of illegal encroachments and other traffic management initiatives.
Following the meeting, prompt action was initiated, with authorities beginning the process of clearing encroachments. Local residents have expressed satisfaction with the swift response from the administration, which aims to ease the long-standing traffic congestion in the region.
