Woman alleges that a Blinkit delivery driver forcefully entered her home due to a problem with her order
The woman expressed in her post that the incident made her feel “unsafe and threatened.” Many users encouraged the woman to report the incident to the police.
A woman reported on LinkedIn on Thursday that a delivery executive from Zomato’s Blinkit threatened her after she raised concerns about an undelivered order.
Surya PM, an executive at Pocket FM, called for decisive action and guarantees from the company in a LinkedIn post where she tagged Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa and Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal.
In her account of the situation, she explained that she first contacted customer support to report an order that was marked as ‘delivered’ even though it had not arrived. She noted that the company managed to address this problem.
She claimed that the delivery executive, along with another person, forcefully entered her property and positioned themselves outside her door, issuing threats. She expressed feeling unsafe and violated as a result of this encounter.
“I am extremely concerned for my safety and expect an immediate response from Blinkit to investigate this situation. This behaviour is completely unacceptable. Please escalate this matter immediately and inform me of the actions Blinkit will be taking to resolve this,” says her post.
“Hey Surya, we understand your disappointment, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience caused. We have thoroughly investigated and addressed your concern, and all relevant information has been shared. We are happy to help with anything else you may need. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you require additional assistance,” this was the reply from Blinkit.
Her post received several responses. One user said, “Let me tell you in the support field companies usually have predefined templates of replies they just copy and paste manually. Their executives sometimes only read the entire matter if that escalates. I had also encountered an incident but getting only similar types of replies again and again. Their customer service depends on the customer profile.”
To which Surya replied, “I completely agree with you. It’s frustrating to receive the same generic responses over and over, especially when you’ve provided clear evidence of the issue. It feels like these customer service teams often rely on predefined templates and don’t take the time to thoroughly review each case unless it escalates. Unfortunately, as u mentioned, it seems like the quality of support often depends on the customer’s profile, which isn’t fair. I’ve experienced similar situations myself, where the same scripted responses keep coming without any real progress. It’s definitely a huge pain when you’re trying to get a genuine resolution.”
