ICAI Postpones Remaining CA Exams Due to India-Pakistan Tensions; Key Details Inside

CA Exams May 2025 Postponed Again Amid India-Pakistan Tensions: Check Revised Dates, Details Here
Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially postponed the remaining papers of the CA Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course Examinations, including the International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT), which were scheduled between May 9 and 14, 2025. The decision comes in light of rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
In its official notification, ICAI stated:
“In partial modification of the Institute’s Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025 dated 13th January 2025, it is announced for general information that in view of the tense and security situation in the Country, the remaining papers of Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and Post Qualification Course Examinations [International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT AT)] May 2025 from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025, stand postponed.”
The announcement follows escalating conflict along the border, where heightened military activity has also led to the closure of schools across Jammu & Kashmir and in parts of Punjab and Rajasthan.
Revised Exam Dates Awaited
The CA Intermediate Group 2 exams were originally slated for May 9, 11, and 14, while the CA Final Group 2 exams were scheduled for May 8, 10, and 13. The INTT AT exam was scheduled for May 10 and 13.
ICAI has assured that new exam dates will be released in due course.
“The candidates are advised to stay in touch with the website of the Institute, www.icai.org,” the ICAI added.
The postponement affects thousands of candidates across the country preparing for the critical examinations.
