Pune News: Woman Dies After Being Impaled by JCB Bucket Tooth in Ramtekdi Industrial Area
Pune, May 11, 2025: A tragic accident occurred on Saturday at Pune Bio Energy System Pvt. Ltd. located in the Ramtekdi Industrial Area, where a female waste worker lost her life due to the alleged negligence of a machine operator.
The victim, identified as Surekha Subhash Kale (36), was engaged in waste collection work around 11:30 am to 12:00 noon when the incident took place.
According to police sources, the bucket tooth of a JCB machine fatally pierced her abdomen due to an error by the poclain operator.
Surekha was immediately rushed to a hospital, where she was declared dead at 1:50 pm. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
The family, currently grieving the loss, is expected to file an FIR on the morning of May 11. Wanawadi Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
