Weather Update: Red Alert Issued In Pune After Mumbai; Heavy Rains With Thunderstorms Expected 

Pune: Following Mumbai, a red alert has now been issued for Pune district as well. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in parts of Ratnagiri, Pune, and Raigad over the next 3 to 4 hours.

For the past five days, heavy rains have severely impacted both Mumbai and Pune. Several roads have turned into river-like streams, and areas like Daund and Baramati are facing flood-like conditions. 

Amidst this, the weather department has forecasted continued heavy rainfall for the next three days.

According to IMD officials, the downpour is expected to remain intense for the next 48 hours. Citizens have been advised to stay alert and strictly follow instructions issued by local authorities.
