This scheme aims to empower traditional artisans and workers who have inherited their craft over generations — such as tailors, blacksmiths, potters, goldsmiths, masons, cobblers, barbers, laundry workers, broom makers, toy makers, idol sculptors, and stone carvers.
The initiative supports these artisans with:
- Loans in two phases:
- ₹1 lakh in the first phase (repayment in 18 months)
- ₹2 lakh in the second phase (repayment in 30 months)
- Just 5% interest, thanks to a government subsidy
- No guarantee or collateral needed, as the loan is backed by the CGTMSE scheme
- Skill certification and 5-day mandatory training
Eligibility Criteria:
- Minimum age: 18 years
- No prior loan taken under a similar scheme in the last 5 years (If taken and repaid, you’re still eligible)
- Only one member per family can apply
- Applicant and family members must not hold a government job
- Skill verification and training is mandatory

- Caste certificate and domicile certificate
