Road Rage In Pune: Porsche and WagonR Drivers Clash Over Overtaking Near Westin HotelÂ
Pune, June 23, 2025: A road rage incident unfolded near Westin Hotel on Sunday afternoon when a dispute over overtaking led to a physical altercation between the drivers of a Porsche and a WagonR. The confrontation, which occurred around 2:15 PM, briefly created tension in the area.
According to the police, the drivers involved in the incident have been identified as Prem Wadhwani (33), a resident of Hinjawadi, and Nimesh Nagesh Diwan (38), a resident of Wakad. Both reportedly got into an argument after attempting to overtake each other, which escalated into a fight.
On receiving information about the scuffle, Assistant Police Inspector Tapare along with a team from Mundhwa Police Station’s marshal squad rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the argument began over an overtaking attempt, resulting in both drivers physically assaulting each other. Police have summoned both parties to Mundhwa Police Station to file formal complaints.
Authorities confirmed that further investigation is underway into the incident.
