DRDO Opens Applications for August 2025 Internship at NSTL Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam, July 10: The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications for its upcoming six-month internship programme starting August 1, 2025, at the Naval Science & Technological Laboratory (NSTL) in Visakhapatnam. The internship is open to final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students from science and technical disciplines.
The internship will be conducted on-site and offers a stipend of ₹5,000 per month, which will be disbursed in two instalments after successful completion of the internship and project evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be enrolled full-time in UGC or AICTE-approved institutes.
- For BE/BTech students, a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 60% marks is required in the final year.
- For MSc (Physics/Chemistry) students, at least 75% marks in the first year is mandatory.
- Applicants must be 25 years or younger as of July 20, 2025.

- VLSI, ECE, Electrical, Embedded Systems – 58 positions
- Mechanical, Aerospace, Metallurgy, Ceramics, Instrumentation, etc. – 75 positions
- Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and related sciences – 8 positions
- Computer Science, AI, Cybersecurity, and related fields – 24 positions
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit. Interviews may be conducted online or offline, and shortlisted applicants will be informed via email. Final selection will require document verification, including a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the institute and police verification.
