Pune: HR Professional Dies In Khed Road Accident As Bike Slips While Overtaking Truck
Pune, July 15, 2025: A 26-year-old HR professional was killed in a tragic road accident at Khalumbre in Khed taluka, Pune district, on Monday morning after the motorcycle he was riding pillion on slipped and was run over by a container truck. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
The deceased has been identified as Gajanan Baburao Bolkekar, a native of Nanded district who was residing in Pune. Bolkekar, who worked in the HR department of a private company in Chakan MIDC, had taken a lift from his colleague Aditya Gajananrao Gaikwad (23), a resident of Yelwadi in Khed, as he was running late for work.
According to police, the accident occurred around 6.45 am near Hyundai Chowk when Gaikwad’s motorcycle attempted to overtake a container from the left side and slipped on the road. Bolkekar, who was riding pillion, fell and was crushed under the wheels of the container, leading to his death on the spot. Gaikwad sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The container driver, Mohammad Arman Kamrudding Khan (30) of Dharavi, Mumbai, has been arrested for negligent driving. A case has been registered at Mhalunge MIDC police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Motor Vehicles Act.
