Pune: Traffic Restrictions On Bopodi’s V.B. Patil Bridge For 12 Days
Pune Traffic Update: Heavy Vehicle Restrictions Imposed in Market Yard Area; New Timings Announced
Pune, July 17, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced traffic restrictions on the V.B. Patil Bridge at Bopodi to facilitate essential repair work.
As per the official notice, vehicular movement from Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Chowk towards Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) via the V.B. Patil Bridge will remain closed for 12 days, from July 16 to July 27, 2025. However, traffic coming from PCMC towards Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Chowk will continue to operate in a single lane on the bridge during this period.
Authorities have requested commuters traveling from Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Chowk (Bopodi) towards PCMC to make use of alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. Motorists are advised to plan their travel accordingly and follow diversion signs placed in the vicinity.
The PMC has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured that the repair work is essential to ensure the structural safety and longevity of the bridge. Civic officials, including the Project Department, are monitoring the work to ensure timely completion within the stipulated schedule.
Residents and daily commuters are urged to cooperate with the temporary traffic diversions and avoid unnecessary congestion in the area.
