Pune, July 24, 2025: Several parts of Pune district may witness traffic slowdowns and blockages due to ongoing heavy rainfall, with risks of waterlogging and minor landslides in some regions.

Pune-Mumbai Expressway, especially the Lonavala Ghat stretch, could see disruptions due to the possibility of water accumulation and minor landslips.
Sinhagad Road and Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass are vulnerable to heavy waterlogging during intense downpours.

Central city zones such as Shivajinagar, Sadashiv Peth, and Narayan Peth may experience flooding due to outdated drainage infrastructure.

Hadapsar and Kharadi, being major IT hubs, are expected to face significant traffic jams during peak hours.
Other busy areas including Swargate, Bibwewadi, and Kothrud might see slow traffic movement and possible route changes.

Citizens are advised to step out only when necessary, keep emergency supplies ready, and monitor updates from local officials and weather departments. Additionally, strong winds ranging between 40–50 km/h are expected across parts of southern India and along the western coastline, so extra caution is recommended while traveling through open or elevated areas.
