30 Camps, 2321 Units: Shatrughan Kate’s Call for Blood Donation on CM Fadnavis’ Birthday Gets Massive Response
Pimpri-Chinchwad: On the occasion of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ birthday, a mega blood donation drive held on July 22 across Pimpri-Chinchwad received an overwhelming response from the public. Under the leadership of BJP city president Shatrughan Kate, the campaign was successfully conducted across 30 different locations, resulting in a record-breaking collection of 2321 units of blood.
Guided by MLAs Mahesh Landge, Shankar Jagtap, Uma Khapre, and Amit Gorkhe, the camps were set up at various prominent areas across the city. Former MLA Ashwini Jagtap, South Region BJP President Rajesh Pille, former PCMC Chairman Sadashiv Khade, ex-Mayor Usha alias Mai Dhore, BJP state member Moreshwar Shedge, General Secretary Vijay Shinde, Ajay Patade, Women’s Wing President Sujata Palande, Youth Wing Head Raj Tapkir, and several other BJP leaders and corporators actively participated.
Shatrughan Kate had called upon citizens and youth to participate in large numbers, and the city responded with enthusiasm. People from all walks of life – including men, women, youth, and senior citizens – came forward to donate blood, showcasing a strong sense of social responsibility.
The blood donation camps were organized at key locations across Chinchwad, Pimpri, and Bhosari assembly constituencies. These included areas such as Ravet, Walhekarwadi, Kalewadi, Thergaon-Wakad, Rahatani-Pimple Saudagar, Sangvi-Pimple Gurav, Pradhikaran-Chinchwad, Akurdi, Sant Tukaram Nagar, Kharalwadi, Fugewadi-Dapodi-Bopkhel, Chikhali, Krishnanagar, Talawade, Moshi, Chikhali Budruk, Dighi, Gawlinagar, Landgevasti, Moshi Pradhikaran, and Nehrunagar.
The drive was conducted with the support of BJP Mandal heads from all three assembly constituencies, local party office-bearers, and several social organizations. The medical team from Chakan Blood Bank ensured smooth operation, and all facilities were arranged to make the experience hassle-free for donors.
Speaking on the occasion, Shatrughan Kate remarked, “Blood donation is the highest form of social service. This drive is a tribute to the people-centric work of CM Devendra Fadnavis. Every drop counts, and every donor is an inspiration.”
Thousands responded to this call, making the initiative a grand success. Notably, the youth showed remarkable participation, and women and senior citizens also came forward in large numbers, strengthening the spirit of collective social duty..
