PCMC Approves Modern Hospital Facility For Sangvi To Boost Healthcare Access
Pimpri-Chinchwad, July 31, 2025: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has given the green light for the construction of a new hospital building in Sangvi, replacing the current outdated structure. The approval came during the recent Standing Committee meeting chaired by Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh.
The meeting was also attended by Additional Municipal Commissioners Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, Trupti Sandbhor, and other senior officials and department heads. As per the approved proposal, an architect will be appointed to design the new building, which will be constructed on Reservation Plot No. 341 in Sangvi after the demolition of the existing facility.
Singh stated that this move aims to strengthen the healthcare infrastructure in the area. He also mentioned that approval has been granted to outsource medical staff—such as doctors, nurses, and support personnel—for civic hospitals, including the upcoming facility at Sangvi.
In addition to the Sangvi Hospital project, the Standing Committee also cleared several civic improvement works, including new water pipelines, road resurfacing, installation of eco-friendly pollution control units at Bopkhel crematorium, and the appointment of an agency for public toilet maintenance in Sector 28 near Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Garden.
