Pune: 8 Feet Tall Mahadev Idol Installed At Sankat Haran Mahadev Mandir On NIBM Road Â
In a spiritual celebration marking the auspicious month of Shravan and the festival of Nag Panchami, the residents of Kondhwa Khurd witnessed installation of an 8 feet tall Mahadev idol. The event took place on July 29, 2025, at the Shri Sankat Haran Mahadev Temple, located on NIBM Road, Kondhwa Khurd.
The sacred rituals began at 9 AM, with Abhishek, Homa-Havan, and the Pran Pratishtha (idol installation) until 12 noon. This was followed by a Maha Aarti at 12 PM, invoking divine blessings for all devotees. At 12:30 PM, Prasad (holy food offering) was distributed to all attendees.
The event was organized with devotion and dedication by the residents of Kondhwa Khurd and all local service groups, under the leadership of former corporator Tanaji Dnyandev Lonkar, who is also the President of the Shri Sankat Haran Mahadev Utsav Committee.
Organizers have extended a warm invitation to all devotees to attend the ceremony, seek blessings of Lord Mahadev, and participate in the religious festivities.
