Pune: MNS Accuses PMC Commissioner Of Abuse And Threats
Pune, August 6, 2025: Tensions flared at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers staged a protest, accusing PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram of calling MNS leader Kishore Shinde a “goon” and allegedly threatening to throw him out of Maharashtra.
The incident occurred when an MNS delegation visited the Commissioner’s office to submit a statement regarding the recent theft at the PMC Commissioner’s bungalow. At the time, the Commissioner was in a meeting with other officials. MNS workers allegedly barged into the meeting, leading to a heated argument.
MNS alleged that the Commissioner threatened their leader and insulted him in Hindi, sparking a language controversy over the use of Marathi. The situation escalated further when MNS workers reportedly threatened to drive the Commissioner out of the state.
MNS leader Kishore Shinde accused the Commissioner of issuing threats and intimidating the delegation. MNS workers have now staged a sit-in protest at the PMC premises, demanding action.
