As India prepares to celebrate its 79th Independence Day on August 15, the silver screen offers a rich tapestry of stories that evoke patriotism and national pride. Over the decades, many Indian actors have portrayed roles that embody sacrifice, courage, and devotion to the country, leaving audiences deeply moved.

Among the most celebrated portrayals is Ajay Devgn’s role in The Legend of Bhagat Singh, where he captured the fiery spirit of the revolutionary freedom fighter. His performance earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor, cementing his place in the pantheon of patriotic cinema.

Akshay Kumar, often known for his socially relevant films, shone in the action-thriller Baby, playing an undercover agent combating terrorism. His disciplined, restrained performance brought a realistic edge to the genre.
