No More Offline Passes: Entry To Mantralaya Now Through ‘DG App’
Mumbai, August 19, 2025: Citizens visiting the state Mantralaya for official work will now be allowed entry only through registration on the ‘DG App’, making offline entry passes obsolete.
The Mantralaya, which sees frequent movement of the Chief Minister, ministers, senior officials, and business leaders, has implemented a facial recognition and DG App-based entry system since March 2025 to enhance security and manage crowd control.
Under the new system, visitors must first register on the DG App using their Aadhaar-linked details. Once registered, they can book a time slot for the concerned department, ensuring hassle-free entry without waiting in queues.
However, concerns remain for citizens who do not own smartphones. Authorities have indicated that alternative arrangements will be introduced for those unable to register through the mobile application.
The DG App is available for free download on both Android (Google Play Store) and iOS (App Store). Users need to register only once, after which face recognition will verify their identity during subsequent visits.
