Passengers Couldn’t Stop Laughing at This Tamil Pilot’s Hindi Announcement– Now It’s Viral
Amid ongoing debates about language use in India, a heartwarming video of an IndiGo captain from Tamil Nadu has gone viral. On August 19, Captain Pradeep Krishnan shared a clip of himself attempting to make an in-flight announcement in Hindi on a flight taking off from Patna, Bihar.
The video shows Captain Krishnan picking up the mic and addressing passengers in Hindi. Though not fluent, he made an honest effort that left both travelers and crew smiling.
What He Said in the Video
“Sabka namaskar hai. Mera Hindi sundar hai; sab adjust kar lega. Hum aaj Patna se aage jaate hain. Uppar main, 3,000 feet pe… turbulence thora, daga daga daga karega. Seat belt daalenge nahi toh adega,” he can be heard saying in the clip.
The captain joked about his Hindi, calling it “sundar” (beautiful), and even described turbulence in a lighthearted way, comparing it to “daga daga daga.” His playful tone, along with the message about seat belts, made passengers laugh, including an air hostess standing beside him.
The short video was widely shared online, with users praising him for trying to speak a language that is not his mother tongue. Many called it a refreshing attempt to bridge communication gaps between passengers and crew.
Not His First Hindi Attempt
This is not the first time Captain Pradeep Krishnan has gone viral for his Hindi. In August 2024, another clip of him making an in-flight announcement in Hindi caught the attention of social media users.
Back then, he was operating a flight from Chennai to Mumbai when a passenger requested him to make the announcement in Hindi. He gave it a shot and later shared the clip with the caption, “A very sweet passenger asked me to make an announcement in Hindi. Indha vechuko!!!!! I genuinely tried.”
His attempt, though imperfect, was received with equal warmth and appreciation. That video too gathered thousands of likes and comments, with people applauding his effort to connect with passengers in their own language.
Internet Reacts With Love
Both videos have made Captain Krishnan a favorite on social media. While his Hindi may not be fluent, many users said they loved the honesty and humor in his announcements. The videos continue to circulate widely, showing how a simple effort to try another language can strike a chord with people.
