Pune: Mandai Metro Station Revises Entry-Exit Routes For Ganeshotsav; Extended Services Announced
Pune, August 28, 2025 – In view of the heavy footfall of devotees during the Ganeshotsav celebrations, Mandai Metro Station in Central Pune has revised its entry and exit points.
Commuters can now enter the station from Gate No. 3, located near Lokmanya Tilak’s statue, while the exit has been shifted to Gate No. 2 on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road. These changes will remain effective until 6 am on September 7.
To accommodate the surge in passengers, Pune Metro has also extended its operating hours. Trains will run till 2 am during the festival period, while on Anant Chaturdashi, the final day of Ganeshotsav, services will continue for 41 hours without interruption.
Revised Metro Service Schedule:
- August 27–29: 6 am to 11 pm (regular schedule)
- August 30–September 5: 6 am to 2 am
- September 6–7 (Anant Chaturdashi): Continuous service from 6 am (Sept 6) to 11 pm (Sept 7)
