Download Aadhaar Card via WhatsApp: Step-by-Step Guide to Instantly Access It Without Any App
If you’ve ever had to dig through old emails, search phone galleries, or scroll endlessly through cloud folders just to find your Aadhaar card, here’s some good news—you can now download it directly from WhatsApp. Yes, seriously. Thanks to the official MyGov Helpdesk chatbot, getting your Aadhaar is now as easy as sending a text.
This method doesn’t need any special app, and it works securely as long as your Aadhaar is linked to your mobile number and your DigiLocker account is active.
What you need before you begin
• Your mobile number must be linked to your Aadhaar
• An active DigiLocker account (create one at digilocker.gov.in or via the app)
• Save the official MyGov Helpdesk number: +91-9013151515 on your phone
Here’s how to download your Aadhaar card using WhatsApp
Step 1: Save the phone number +91-9013151515 in your contacts list and name it “MyGov Helpdesk”.
Step 2: Open WhatsApp and send a message to this contact. A simple “Hi” or “Namaste” will do.
Step 3: The chatbot will reply with a list of available services. Select “DigiLocker Services” from the options.
Step 4: Confirm whether you already have a DigiLocker account. If not, create one first using the official DigiLocker site or app.
Step 5: Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number when asked. This starts the authentication process.
Step 6: You’ll receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number. Enter that OTP in the WhatsApp chat.
Step 7: Once verified, the bot will display all the documents linked to your DigiLocker account.
Step 8: Look for Aadhaar in the list and type the number shown next to it to select.
Step 9: Your Aadhaar card will be sent to you instantly as a PDF file in the same chat. You can open, save, or forward it as needed.
Note: You can only download one document at a time, and only documents already linked to your DigiLocker account will be available. If your Aadhaar or any other document doesn’t appear, you’ll need to upload or link it through DigiLocker first.
No more password resets, no need to remember long URLs, and no waiting. Whether you’re filling out a form, booking tickets, or verifying your ID—your Aadhaar is now just a message away.
