Pune: 3,125 Applications Received At Maha Janata Darbar; Ajit Pawar Assures Action On Citizens’ Issues

Pune, September 14, 2025: To strengthen the bond between the government and the people, and to understand and resolve various issues faced by citizens, the Maha Janata Darbar organised at Netaji Subhash Mangal Karyalaya, Manjari Road, Hadapsar, received an enthusiastic response. Citizens expressed satisfaction at getting an opportunity to present their grievances directly before public representatives, informed Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Ajit Pawar, in a press conference.
MLA Chetan Tupe, PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Additional Commissioner M.J. Pradeep Chandran, Prithviraj B.P., along with senior officers from various departments were present.
Pawar said that during this Maha Janata Darbar, information was taken about the problems and difficulties faced by the citizens. Citizens submitted memorandums regarding issues like water supply, roads, drainage, electricity supply, traffic congestion, amenity spaces for housing societies, crematoriums, burial grounds, ring road, land acquisition, railway bridges, etc. These demands will be taken seriously and action will be initiated. The government, public representatives, and citizens together will work to resolve these issues. Follow-up will be done at both district and ministry levels, assured Deputy CM Pawar.
In the Hadapsar area, where urgent problems need to be addressed, the Commissioner and Additional Commissioner will personally visit. Efforts will be made to reduce traffic congestion in this area, and Pawar appealed to citizens to maintain discipline and cooperate.
3,125 Applications Received at Maha Janata Darbar
At this Maha Janata Darbar, stalls were set up by departments such as Pune Municipal Corporation, Revenue, Police, MSEDCL, Health, Registration and Stamps, PMRDA, Cooperation, MHADA, Transport, etc., which collectively received 3,125 applications.
Breakdown of applications: Water Supply – 619, Social Welfare – 269, Electricity – 225, Revenue – 218, Solid Waste Management – 211, Building Permission – 171, City Survey – 159, Police – 156, Transport – 155, Cooperation (Housing Societies) – 150, Health – 159, Property Tax – 116, Registration & Stamps – 84, PMRDA – 76, Slum Rehabilitation – 58, MSEDCL – 58, Waste & Sanitation – 51, Transport – 40, PMPML – 38, Land Encroachment – 33, MHADA – 30, Charity Commissioner Office – 23, Vehicle-related – 6, Property Records (City Survey) – 3, Law & Order – 2, and others – 25 applications.
