Pune, September 17, 2025 – Acting on the orders of Deputy Commissioner (Encroachment) Sandeep Khalate and Zonal Deputy Commissioner (Zone 4) Prashant Thombare, the Kondhwa–Yewalewadi Regional Office carried out a major anti-encroachment drive from Undri Chowk to Kadnagar, as well as in Sainagar and Kapilnagar.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Municipal Commissioner Laxman Kadbane, with joint efforts from the Building Development Department and the Encroachment Department.

During the action, unauthorized encroachments on roads, footpaths, front and side margins, and public spaces were demolished. A total of 19,700 sq. ft. of illegal sheds and constructions were removed, including:

  • Sheds – 19
  • Other structures – 3
  • Street vendors – 5
  • Handcarts – 8
  • Unauthorized constructions – 19,700 sq. ft.

Assistant Engineer Sandeep Shinde, Junior Engineer Rutuja Chilkevar, Junior Engineer Kiran Ahirrao, Regional Encroachment Inspector Ganesh Taru, In-Charge Encroachment Inspector Kiran Dawari, Assistant Encroachment Inspectors Santosh Methe, Sachin Jadhav, Pratik Sanap, Ranjit Jadhav, Madhav Bahiram, and Kiran Shinde, along with the encroachment staff from Hadapsar Regional Office and Wanwadi Regional Office of Zone 4, were present during the action.

The drive was supported by police personnel and MSF jawans, along with engineers and encroachment inspectors from Hadapsar and Wanwadi regional offices.
