Infosys Launches Referral Program, Offers Up to ₹50,000 Rewards to Boost Female Workforce
Infosys has rolled out a new referral program under its “Restart With Infosys” initiative, aimed at hiring women professionals returning to work after a career break. The IT major has sent an internal email to employees, offering rewards of up to ₹50,000 for successful referrals.
To qualify, candidates must have at least two years of work experience and a career break of six months or more. The company is looking to fill roles across technologies, including developers, tech leads, and managers.
What Infosys said
In its email, Infosys wrote: “This program offers mentorship and skill development to help women regain confidence and achieve their career goals. As a token of gratitude, we are offering up to ₹50,000 for successful referrals.”
Part of ESG Vision 2030
The initiative is part of Infosys’ ESG Vision 2030, under which the company aims to raise female representation to 45% by 2030. Currently, women make up 39% of its 3.23 lakh employees.
To support this goal, Infosys has announced referral incentives:
- ₹10,000 for hires at JL3
- ₹25,000 at JL4
- ₹35,000 at JL5
- ₹50,000 at JL6
Focus on Inclusion
Shaji Mathew, Infosys’ Chief Human Resource Officer, emphasized that diversity is central to the company’s growth. “Programs like ‘Restart with Infosys’ help talented women in tech who took career breaks to re-enter the workforce,” he said.
The initiative has already shown results. Infosys hired around 900 women in mid-management roles during FY 2024–25, a sharp rise from 500 women the previous year.
“This is a major step towards inclusion at scale. It reflects our commitment to diversity—not just for Infosys but for the entire industry to grow in women’s participation,” Mathew added.
Structured Support for Women
According to its latest ESG report, Infosys said the program provides a learning and mentorship platform to help women professionals restart their careers with confidence. The company noted that the move has also strengthened its diverse talent pool.
