Pune, September 30, 2025: Wanowrie witnessed two days of colour, music, and celebration as ShivSwarajya Pratishthan hosted its much-awaited Dandiya festival at Kakade Grounds. The event, conceptualized by Amit Anantrao Shelar, saw an overwhelming response with more than 4,000 participants joining in over the weekend.
Marathi TV and film actor Prajakta Gaikwad, known for Swarajya Rakshak Sambhaji Serial and Pooja Kale actor from Aai Tuljabhavani serial.
Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, residents of all age groups came together to dance to high-energy Garba and Dandiya beats. The festive spirit was enhanced with foot-tapping music, dazzling lights, and a lively atmosphere that brought the community together. Families, youngsters, and senior citizens alike enjoyed the cultural extravaganza, making it one of the most memorable Navratri celebrations in the Wanowrie area this year.
Organizers expressed joy at the turnout, noting that such cultural events not only promote tradition but also foster community bonding. “The overwhelming participation reflects the enthusiasm of people to celebrate Navratri with unity and joy,” said Amit Shelar.
The event also provided a platform for local talent, with several performers entertaining the audience throughout the evening.
