Pune" Forensics Show No Drug Consumption By Pranjal Khewalkar In Kharadi Party Case
Pune, October 2, 2025: In the alleged drug party case from Kharadi, the Regional Forensic Laboratory report has revealed that Pranjal Khewalkar, son-in-law of former minister Eknath Khadse and husband of NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) women’s wing chief Rohini Khadse, did not consume narcotics.
Khewalkar was arrested along with seven others on July 27 after Pune Police raided a hotel in Kharadi, seizing cocaine and marijuana. He spent over one and a half months in jail before being granted bail on September 25.
The forensic test of blood samples did not detect traces of drug consumption, giving Khewalkar relief from those specific charges. However, police have included references to his alleged Instagram chats in the chargesheet, claiming some messages indicated drug procurement.
While the consumption charges may not hold, investigations into drug possession and the alleged party arrangements are still ongoing. Police have clarified that the focus remains on the source and possession of narcotics, not just usage.
Reacting to the developments, Eknath Khadse reiterated his stance: “I had maintained from the beginning that there was no truth in the so-called rave party case. Now, the report confirms it. The court will decide the outcome.”
