Pune, October 4, 2025: Members of Gurukul celebrated their thirteenth Anniversary celebrations on Thursday 2 nd October 2025 at Pimpri Pune. It was also truly a festive day of Vijaya Dashmi (Dussehra) . It was exactly thirteen years ago on the Vijayadashmi day (Dussehra day) of 2012 that Gurukul started its activities from Pimpri . Gurukul is run by Geeta Ashram Khadki, Pune . Geeta Ashram Khadki was founded by a few close devotees of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa.
Gurukul is a hub from where activities of Gurukul Sanskrit academy ,Bhajans, spiritual activities like discourses,satsangs etc are conducted. Geeta Ashram Khadki, Pune ‘s sole intention is to serve people and lead them on the path of spiritual knowledge . Gurukul Sanskrit Academy is a part of Geeta Ashram, Khadki, Pune and its main aim is to promote and develop the ancient Sanskrit language. All the activities of the Gurukul Sanskrit academy are carried out free of cost for all the age groups of people.
The thirteenth anniversary event was celebrated under the divine guidance of ” Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa” . The programme started with the Satkar of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasaji followed by a spiritual exchange presented by a few disciples of Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasaji. This was followed by the International Sanskrit Day Prize Distribution at the hands of Sanskrit Teacher Ajit Menon.
There was a short talk by Ajit Menon followed by the Prize Distribution of the winners of the Intermediate Level Sanskrit Examination and the Reel Competition at the hands of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasaji. The Programme ended with the distribution of Prasadam to all the students of Gurukul academy , the disciples and devotees of Geeta Ashram .
