Mumbai, October 6, 2025: Mahavitaran’s eco-friendly initiative, the ‘Go-Green’ scheme, aimed at reducing paper usage in electricity bills, is receiving an overwhelming response from consumers. Over the past three months, 2,03,340 electricity consumers have enrolled in the program.

By completely switching from printed bills to email and SMS billing, more than 7,06,924 environmentally conscious customers have benefited, saving a total of ₹8.48 crore annually.

Speaking on the initiative, Mahavitaran Chairman & Managing Director Lokesh Chandra said, “The growing participation in the Go-Green scheme is very encouraging. Customers receive their electricity bills digitally. We urge more consumers to join and contribute to protecting the environment.”

How to Enroll: Customers can register on www.mahadiscom.in or via the mobile app by submitting their consumer number. Printed bills will be discontinued, and bills will be sent digitally to the registered email and mobile number. Customers can also update their email or mobile number anytime.

Annual Savings: By opting for Go-Green, consumers receive a ₹10 discount per bill, totaling ₹120 annually. The first bill after registration gives an upfront discount covering 12 months.

Additional Benefits: Monthly bills are sent via email and SMS. Payments made within seven days of bill generation receive an extra 1% discount. Digital bills can be saved on computers or mobiles and printed in color whenever needed.

This initiative not only saves paper but also encourages consumers to actively participate in environmental conservation.
