Bollywood superstar becomes India’s richest actor with USD 1.4 billion net worth, according to Hurun Research Institute
Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan has officially entered the billionaire club, with a staggering net worth of USD 1.4 billion (₹12,490 crore), according to the Hurun Global Rich List 2025 released on October 1. This milestone makes the 59-year-old actor richer than several international icons, including Taylor Swift (USD 1.3 billion), Tom Cruise, and Arnold Schwarzenegger (USD 1.2 billion).
The report marks a historic moment in Khan’s illustrious 33-year career, stating, “Bollywood’s Badshah, Shah Rukh Khan, joins the billionaire club for the first time.” It also names him the wealthiest Bollywood celebrity of 2025.
Following Shah Rukh on the list are Juhi Chawla and her family with a net worth of ₹7,790 crore, and Hrithik Roshan in third place with ₹2,160 crore. Karan Johar and Amitabh Bachchan take the fourth and fifth positions with net worths of ₹1,880 crore and ₹1,630 crore, respectively.
Khan’s immense wealth stems not only from his blockbuster films but also from his diverse business ventures, including his production company Red Chillies Entertainment and co-ownership of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) IPL team. His global brand endorsements and strategic investments have further boosted his financial empire.
The actor, who has 43.9 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) and 48.6 million on Instagram, also recently won his first-ever National Award — the Best Actor for his performance in Jawan (2023), which grossed over ₹1,000 crore domestically.
