According to reports, the altercation began when Swara’s husband, Arjun Ghate, accidentally bumped into the woman while exiting a local train during rush hour. Despite apologising, he was allegedly abused and slapped by the woman, who also used derogatory language against Marathi people.

Subsequently, the woman was taken to the MNS public relations office in Kalwa, where the confrontation was filmed. The viral clip shows her apologising on camera, stating, “Something happened to me today at Kalwa station. I hurt someone, a Maharashtrian man. I abused him and raised my hand on him, for which I apologise to all Maharashtrians.” Moments later, Swara Ghate slapped her and warned her not to repeat such remarks.

Several MNS workers were reportedly present during the incident, but no police complaint has been filed so far. The video has triggered mixed reactions online, with some supporting Ghate’s stance while others criticised the act of taking law into one’s own hands.
