Pune: Central Railway GM Inspects Hadapsar and Khadki Terminals, Urges Rapid Completion of Works
Pune, October 15, 2025: Vijaykumar, General Manager of Central Railway, conducted an inspection of Hadapsar and Khadki railway terminals in the Pune division on Wednesday.
He also reviewed the ongoing Pune railway station remodeling and development projects. During the visit, he instructed officials to expedite the completion of work at both Khadki and Hadapsar terminals and provided guidance on various departmental tasks.
The GM reviewed facilities including the circulating area, yard remodeling, passenger amenities, foot overbridges, platforms, and information systems at Pune station. Interacting with railway staff, he expressed satisfaction with cleanliness, punctuality, and passenger services. At Khadki, he inspected the new terminal under construction, noting that it will reduce congestion at Pune station and enhance train handling capacity.
He also evaluated platform expansion and passenger facility works, emphasizing quality and timely completion. Following this, Vijaykumar visited Chinchwad railway station and the Chinchwad Automobile Loading Terminal, and engaged with students and teachers at the Central Railway Women’s Welfare Association and Little Angels School in Ghorpadi colony.
During the final inspection of Hadapsar terminal’s development and yard remodeling, he highlighted that these projects will improve operational flexibility and train origination capacity in the Pune division.
