The driving habits of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad residents have once again come under fire — this time from a Mumbai man who vented his frustration on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

In his viral post, he wrote, “MH12 (Pune) and MH14 (Pimpri-Chinchwad) idiots, park your third-class driving etiquette in Hinjawadi before you come to Mumbai. We stop at red signals, slow down for pedestrians, and make eye contact with humbleness — not your worthless, ugly ego.”

His remarks sparked a wave of reactions online. Many Punekars surprisingly agreed with him. One user commented, “I’m a Punekar, and I totally agree. People have zero driving sense here. Auto and OLA, UBER cab drivers are the worst.”

Another user added, “I’ve been honked at and even abused for stopping at a red light. Rickshaw drivers and bikers casually break rules and act like I’m the fool for following them.”

A third user recounted a recent experience, saying, “I was driving back from Goa, and early in the morning, a car jumped the red light by squeezing through a barrier — and of course, it had an MH14 number plate. It’s getting embarrassing.”

Adding a humorous twist, one Punekar joked, “We took this as a compliment, not a complaint. The apocalypse is near, and red signals are for ordinary people — not for speed demons like us.”

The incident has reignited conversations about traffic indiscipline and road etiquette in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, where rule-breaking remains a daily concern.
