Pune: Vande Bharat Express to Halt at Daund and Kirloskarvadi from November 2025
Pune: Indian Railways has approved two new experimental stops for Vande Bharat Express trains, effective from November 2025. The Railway Board has issued official instructions to introduce these halts and monitor them based on passenger response and ticket bookings.
According to the order, the Hubballi–Pune Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 20669/20670) will now stop at Kirloskarvadi, while the CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 22225/22226) will add a new halt at Daund.
Railway officials have been asked to widely publicize the new stops and closely track passenger usage. The move is intended to gauge demand and determine whether these halts should be made permanent.
At present, the Hubballi–Pune Vande Bharat departs Hubballi at 5:00 a.m. and reaches Pune at 1:30 p.m., with stops at Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghatprabha, Miraj, Sangli, and Satara. The return service leaves Pune at 2:15 p.m. and arrives in Hubballi at 10:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, the CSMT–Solapur Vande Bharat departs Mumbai at 4:05 p.m. and reaches Solapur at 10:40 p.m. The return train leaves Solapur at 6:05 a.m. and arrives in Mumbai at 12:35 p.m., halting at Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Pune, and Kurduwadi.
The new Kirloskarvadi and Daund stops will be on a trial basis, and their continuation will depend on passenger turnout and operational performance.
