Pune: 31 Tonnes Of Reusable Goods Donated At Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s RRR Centres This Diwali 

Pimpri, November 2, 2025: This Diwali, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) celebrated not just with lights but with a renewed sense of purpose and compassion. Under the ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR)’ initiative of the Swachh Bharat Mission, citizens across the city came forward in large numbers to donate usable goods — turning the festival of lights into a celebration of sharing and sustainability.

Across 32 RRR centres functioning under the eight regional offices of PCMC, residents contributed over 31 tonnes of reusable materials such as clothes, toys, utensils, books, and electronic items. These items are now being distributed to families in need, lighting up homes beyond the city’s bright skyline.

To ensure wider participation, PCMC’s Health Department conducted awareness drives and organised special collection campaigns in residential societies.
