Pune: Hinjawadi Restaurant Booked For Serving Alcohol On Kartiki Ekadashi Dry Day; Four Accused By Pimpri-Chinchwad Police
Pimpri-Chinchwad, November 3, 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Police have taken strict action against a restaurant in Hinjawadi for illegally serving alcohol on the Kartiki Ekadashi dry day observed across Maharashtra. A case has been registered against four individuals, including the restaurant owner, manager, and landowners.
Police Constable Ajit Shinde lodged a complaint at the Hinjawadi Police Station, leading to the registration of an FIR against Parshuram Monappa Dhamnekar (48, Nigdi) ā the owner of Bottoms Up Nx Family Resto and Lounge, manager Hanumant Sayba Kamble (37, Hinjawadi), and the landowners Pankaj and Shubham Sakhare, who are brothers.
According to police sources, the restaurant, located in the Sakhare Wasti area of Hinjawadi, was found serving liquor to customers despite the statewide alcohol ban for Kartiki Ekadashi. During the police raid, it was discovered that the establishment had sold alcoholic beverages worth ā¹44,865 throughout the day.
Officers further revealed that the restaurant lacked the required licence for liquor sales. The landowners had rented out the property despite being aware that the tenants did not possess valid documentation for serving alcohol.
The Hinjawadi Police have initiated further investigation into the case to determine the extent of the violations and possible involvement of other parties.
