Pune: PMC Demolishes 18,500 Sq Ft Of Unauthorized RCC Constructions In Kondhwa Khurd and Budruk
Pune, November 6, 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) carried out a major operation against unauthorized constructions in Kondhwa Khurd and Kondhwa Budruk today. Under the supervision of a special task force, the action targeted unsafe structures to prevent potential hazards.
In Kondhwa Khurd, Baghyoday Nagar (S. No. 52, near Makkah Masjid), a B3 + 10-storey building with 15,000 sq ft of RCC construction was demolished. In Kondhwa Budruk, Laxmi Nagar (S. No. 5, Part), demolitions were carried out on a ground floor + 1 floor RCC structure in Lane No. 1 and on the plinth in Lane No. 5. In total, approximately 18,500 sq ft of unauthorized construction was removed.
The operation involved 6 laborers, 5 police personnel, 1 JCB, 4 breakers, 2 gas cutters, 5 junior engineers, and 2 assistant engineers. PMC has issued a strict warning that these demolished structures were unsafe, and citizens are advised not to occupy or purchase flats in these buildings.
This action highlights PMC’s ongoing efforts to curb illegal constructions and ensure the safety of residents.
