Pune: Traffic Advisory Issued By Deccan Traffic Division As Water Pipeline Work Slows Movement Near Sarathi Office
Pune, November 25, 2025 — The Deccan Traffic Division has issued a traffic advisory due to ongoing water pipeline installation work being carried out by the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Water Supply Department near the Sarathi Office, close to V. S. Khandekar Chowk.
According to officials, the work has been underway for the past four to five days, affecting normal traffic flow. One lane from V. S. Khandekar Chowk towards the Sarathi building remains operational.
However, due to the excavation and pipeline-laying project occupying half of the road, vehicles are moving slowly in a single-lane, one-way pattern.
The work is scheduled daily between 8 am and 2 pm, during which congestion is expected. Motorists may experience slow movement and minor bottlenecks along the affected stretch.
The traffic police have urged commuters to use alternative routes wherever possible to avoid delays. They also appealed to the public to follow police instructions and cooperate during the ongoing civic work.
The Pune City Traffic Police thanked motorists for their support and patience while the essential infrastructure work continues.
