Pune: Bomb Threat at Mahindra International School in Hinjawadi Sparks Panic; PCMC Police Launch Search Operation
A major scare unfolded in Pune’s Hinjawadi IT Park on Wednesday morning after Mahindra International School received an email claiming that a bomb had been planted on its premises. The anonymous threat triggered panic among parents and staff, prompting an immediate response from Pimpri-Chinchwad Police.
According to officials, the school administration alerted the police soon after receiving the threatening email. Teams from the Hinjawadi Police Station, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), and the Dog Squad quickly reached the campus and began a thorough search operation. All students and staff members were safely evacuated as a precautionary measure.
Mahindra International School, located in Hinjawadi, is a co-educational day-cum-residential institution offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
While the search operation continues, police have urged citizens and parents to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information.
