Celebrations turned into sorrow in Navi Mumbai after a 25-year-old Swedish national, who had arrived to join a friend’s wedding festivities, died in a shocking fall from the fourth floor of a building in Sanpada. The sudden incident has left his friends devastated and police officials working to piece together the chain of events that led to his death.

The deceased has been identified as Allde Edward Jan, a resident of Stockholm. He had travelled to Navi Mumbai to attend a wedding ceremony held on Saturday at Raghuleela Mall in Vashi. Following the event, Allde stepped out with some friends, but soon afterward, he went missing, creating concern among the group.

On Sunday evening, his friend Pranay Shah received distressing information that Allde had suffered critical injuries and had been admitted to Sion Hospital in Mumbai. Shocked by the news, Shah reached out to the Sanpada police station to report the situation and provide the necessary details.

Investigations revealed that Allde had fallen from the fourth floor of a building in Sanpada, sustaining severe injuries that ultimately proved fatal. According to police, CCTV footage offered important clues into what happened before the fall. The footage showed that “he had climbed over the gate of the building earlier and had fallen during that attempt as well,” indicating that there may have been more than one fall involved.

Officials suspect that Allde may have been intoxicated at the time of the incident. A police representative stated, “We believe he may have been under the influence of alcohol, but the post-mortem report will determine the exact cause of death.” The medical examination is expected to bring greater clarity.

An accidental death case has been filed at the Sanpada police station, and officers continue to investigate all aspects of the incident to establish a complete timeline and ensure no detail is overlooked. At the same time, Navi Mumbai Police are coordinating with the Swedish Embassy to formally notify Allde’s family in Stockholm and initiate the required procedures. “An accidental death case has been registered, and further investigation is underway,” the official confirmed.
