Pune, December 12, 2025: The Navale Bridge area in Pune has long been known as an accident-prone zone, often described by locals as a “death trap.” To review the frequent accidents and understand the problems on the ground, Shiv Sena leader Vasant More visited the site on Thursday.
While briefing citizens about traffic issues and the rising risk of accidents, More started a Facebook Live session from the spot. However, during the live broadcast, he narrowly escaped a major accident.
What Exactly Happened?
More and his supporters were standing on the roadside during the Facebook Live when a speeding small tempo suddenly veered dangerously close to them. The vehicle passed so near that it brushed past them, giving all those present a major shock. More and his team escaped unhurt by just a few seconds.
The Incident Captured Live
The dramatic moment was captured directly on More’s Facebook Live video. Fortunately, neither Vasant More nor any of his supporters sustained injuries.
After the incident, More once again urged the administration to take immediate steps to address the long-standing safety issues on Navale Bridge.
Despite the area witnessing frequent accidents for years, he said no concrete action has been taken yet. He added that commuters using this stretch constantly travel under fear due to recurring mishaps.
