The accident occurred while the actor was on her way to perform at the Sunburn Festival; police have arrested the accused driver.

Bollywood actor and dancer Nora Fatehi was involved in a road accident in Mumbai on Saturday afternoon after her car was rammed by a drunk driver. The incident took place around 3 pm while she was travelling to perform at the Sunburn Festival, which is being held in Mumbai this year.

According to Mumbai Police, the collision occurred when an intoxicated motorist crashed into Fatehi’s vehicle. While the impact was severe, the actor did not suffer any major injuries. Police officials said she was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for first aid, where doctors confirmed her condition to be stable.

Despite the shock of the accident, Fatehi went ahead with her scheduled performance at the festival later in the day.

“She was taken to a nearby hospital for first aid, and her condition is stable. A case has been registered against the intoxicated driver, who has been taken into custody,” Mumbai Police said in a statement. The accused has been booked under sections related to rash driving and driving under the influence.

Later, Fatehi shared her experience in a video message on Instagram, describing the incident as frightening and emotionally distressing. She said a drunk driver smashed into her car and the force of the collision flung her across the vehicle, causing her head to hit the window.

“I am here to tell you that I am okay. I was in a very serious car accident. A drunk person smashed my car and unfortunately the impact was quite severe. It flung me across the car and I smashed my head on the window,” she said.

The actor added that she escaped with minor injuries and swelling. “I am alive and I am well except for some minor injuries and swelling. I am going to be suffering from pain for some time. It was a very scary, terrible, traumatic moment. I saw my life flash in front of my eyes,” she said.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns around drunk driving in the city, especially during the festive season. Police said further details of the investigation will be shared as the case progresses.

Sunburn, traditionally hosted in Goa, is being organised in Mumbai this year. The three-day music festival began on December 19 and will conclude on December 21.
