Pune: Southern Command Conducts Military-Civil Fusion Exercise
Pune, December 24, 2025: A high-intensity Military–Civil Fusion exercise was conducted at the Military–Civil Fusion (MCF) Training Node, Pune, to rehearse and validate inter-agency Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) under a simulated multi-threat security scenario, reinforcing preparedness against complex and evolving contingencies.
Troops of Southern Command integrated seamlessly with Force One (Maharashtra Police), the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Police Units, Fire Services, Bomb Disposal Unit, Disaster Management Authority, Health &Forensic Departments and the Army Dog Unit.
The exercise focused on enhancing interoperability, rapid decision-making and coordinated responses across the full spectrum of threats.
The drill simulated realistic crisis situations to test command and control mechanisms, communication architecture and inter-agency coordination at multiple levels. It enabled participating agencies to refine standard operating procedures, identify operational synergies and strengthen institutional linkages for swift and effective response.
Such Military–Civil Fusion exercises are a key pillar in building a whole-of-government approach to security, strengthening collective resilience and reaffirming the commitment of all stakeholders towards public safety and integrated national response capabilities.
